But, having been one of the rookies trying to bust into the business during the 90&#8217;s comics crash, anytime the market rockets towards the moon I tend to get a touch of the jitters.</p>
<p>But the 90&#8217;s crash was mostly due to piling junk on top of junk simply because it was selling. Then readers collectively decided to cut the sequential fat from their diets.</p>
<p>What I&#8217;m hoping is that enough coal turns into diamonds to keep the market strong after the dust blows away. </p>
<p>So for now, I don&#8217;t mind coughing up a little coal dust, so long as I trip over a few sparkling rocks.  And I hope that <a href="http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/12672.html">Holy Black&#8217;s foray into comics</a> proves to be a bit of bling:  </p>

<p>Then comes the uncluttering. After four years a lot of scraps of code pile up. I&#8217;m cleaning it all up and getting back to basics. </p>
<p>That means focusing on what the blog is about and why people like reading it. Or more to the point, focusing on giving a people a reason to read it. </p>
<p>And I&#8217;ll be streamlining promoting the blog. I&#8217;ll try out one new method at a time and really give it a go before adding something else. </p>
