Celebrate Kids ♥ Authors Day at Titcomb’s with two children’s book authors. Come meet Jane Bregoli, author of The Goat Lady, and Brian Anderson, author of Nighty Night, Sleepy Sleep and Dog Eat Doug.
The Goat Lady is a picture book that tells the true story of a woman in Dartmouth who raised goats. She gave goats milk to local families in need and raised goats to be donated all over the world through Heifer International. It is a touching story that shows kids that a regular person can help people all over the world.
Brian Anderson is the creator of cartoon Dog Eat Doug that follows the adventures of a chocolate lab named Sophie and her friend, baby Doug. Nighty Night Sleepy Sleep is a picture book that tells the story of a night where Sophie and Doug will do absolutely anything to avoid bedtime. Sound familiar?
We will have activities and snacks for kids (and weather permitting some animals for the kids to meet). Brian Anderson will teach cartooning to children at 10:30am and 11:30am (free, no registration required). Have the kids bring some spare change and we will try to fill up our “Giving Jar” with enough money to buy a flock of chickens for a family in need through Heifer International.
