Oh What a Pen!

 pilot_lhs-20c3-b

The Pilot Hi-Tec-C Slim Knock Gel Ink Pen. Wow. Gel ink pens and ballpoints are the workhorses for my daily doodles. For the past few years I’ve been religious about my Pilot mini G2 (customized with a .5 refill).

On a inky whim, I decided to grab one of the Slim Knocks from jetpens.com. This thing is small, not much bigger than the mini G2. However it’s a .3 refill which makes for some mighty tight detailing.

This pen has replaced my G2 and it also will get a gig working on some of my other comic work. The only down side is that the slim profile might make it uncomfortable for long writing/doodling sessions. Also, if you get one just for writing, you may want to grab the .4. I’m guessing that would be less scratchy.

And, of course, don’t forget about my upcoming graphic novel. Swing by the site and get a glimpse:

I think you’d really love it. A very similar feel to the pigma microns.
