It’s the Pen Stupid
|
So if you’ve read some of the past posts, you know I was having a nightmare of a time getting my coffee colored Herbin ink to flow out of anything. The initial pen I used, a brown Pilot Petit, was purchased specifically to be used with the Herbin ink. The ink flowed like toothpaste. I then tested it out in an old Rotring Skynn, conveniently ignoring the part of the brain which reminded me that the Skynn never really worked for me with any ink (yes, I’m a lefty). So when the Herbin dammed up in that pen, I thought it was the ink. As a last ditch attempt I emptied my two work horse pens. My Safari and a black Pilot Petit. The ink worked fine of course. Herbin, I never should’ve doubted you. Now I have an extra, faulty Pilot Petit to experiment with. Maybe I should fill it with colored Vaseline?
And, of course, don’t forget about my upcoming graphic novel. Swing by the site and get a glimpse:
