Towards the end of last year I started looking into getting DeD figurines made. Initially I emailed a few companies that made some of my favorite figures. Didn’t expect a great response. Actually only one company responded and they were interested then never responded again. Real professional, however that kind of behavior tells you upfront that you really wouldn’t want to deal with them anyway.

So after putting the toy idea to rest a bit, I’ve decided to DIY the project. Considering I started as a webcomic, I’m comfortable with finding my own way. Not that the path to making vinyl toys is complex. It just means I’ll be burning through piles of Sculpey in my free time.
