Onomatopoeia Day!
Attention cartoonists. An unofficial holiday of sorts sprouted up on twitter. Karl Kleese from Willow’s Grove started it. So if it becomes an official holiday, he’ll get the day off and I’ll stay chained to the drawing table.Any-who, the day is April 6th. The objective is to use onomatopoeia in your comic. Not “an” onomatopoeia, but the actual word. Yes, this came about from a conversation about the fact that onomatopoeia is the furthest a word could actually be from its definition. So if you want to participate just use the word onomatopoeia as a sound effect in your comic on April 6th. And maybe we’ll start up a bit of a buzz (see, that’s an onomatopoeia!). I actually invented the “Velcro Babysitter”. Just cover everything in the hous ein Velcro, place the Velcro onesie on the little one and voila! You can now stick your baby anywhere.
