A Cool YA Series and more
I love what the publishing marketing guru’s have deemed Young Adult Novels. Really, I pick books based on stories. And more often than not I discover stories I want to read in the YA section of the bookstore. Mostly because I go for fantasy. More specifically, fantasies that promise to take me to a new world, a unique world. A trip to some corner of some author’s imagination that I’ve never seen before.
Recently I’ve added several new YA books to my “to read list” (which grows dreadfully longer as I try to keep up with my “needs to be written” list). One of the new picks is “Farworld“. Looking forward to getting to open this one up in the next month or so. In the meantime the author’s blog is a great source of inspiration, especially since our paths to writing full-time are remarkably similar.
Click on over and check it out. And if it sounds like a story for you, order yourself a copy and maybe a second for that special bibliophile on your Christmas list.

Since you like fantasy, have you read the Deltora Quest series? The cover art is also very good.

Haven’t read those. Going to check them out now.
Thanks Jarrett. I’m a little proud of Doug’s googly eyes. Because his eyes are normally dots, I had to come up with a way to make him wide-eyed without using big circles with pupils. I think the swirlies fit the style.
