Inking Marathon
Just finished inking seven strips. Hand is tired. If I keep going the characters will devolve into stick figures.

Yowza. Quite a marathon! Seven strips is a lot… how long did it take you?

About 4 hours. That does include the breaks to watch Criss Angel though.

[Expletive deleted.] It takes me about an hour to ink one of my Croaker’s strips! Wow. I’m impressed.

It has been a huge help being fast. But to be fair, your strip has a ton more detail. DeD was the first professional work I decided to do with just a brush. The trade off was, brush work is not my strong suit. So, it was a bit like jumping off a cliff: there’s no turning back.

I hear ya. Brush work has loosened up my style – my normal style is over-detailed, overworked, overtight. IT’s keeping me from getting too fussy with it. And then I see DeD and I realize how much farther I could go with it, getting looser.
Well, I know I gotta speed up, so we’ll see how that goes. Stick figures indeed! heh heh

It’s nice to make a 180 degree change in style.
