One of the more interesting things about this strip is that even though Sophie is female, her thinking seems masculine. I don’t know too many females (human or canine) that start their sentences with “Man,”. Obviously, that’s a reflection of the fact that Brian is the author, but I think it’s part of what lends such charm to the comic.

Man, I love this strip. It cracks me up. They look so cute in that second panel, and the punchline is just perfect.

I confess, as a female, I say “Man, ” a lot. (Carol, your post cracks me up)
I just love the look of sheer joy on my she-hellions faces when they get a new squeak toy, but there are times I could shoot myself in the head for giving it to them. *heh*

We tried to avoid getting Sophie squeaky toys. But eventually everyone succumbs to the squeakies.
