I stumbled upon this blog and have fallen hopelessly in love with this character, the drawings and what appears to be an eventual graphic novel and animated film. I mean, just check out the page breakdowns the artist is doing in their Moleskine. Those alone are better than most comic books.

I’ve had this one in my links section for awhile but never did a formal post. Like DeD, this strip started as a webcomic and recently made it to print syndication.

Also like DeD, the creator is from Massachusetts. And no, it’s not something in the water. It was a primate/cartoonist genetic experiment gone horribly wrong in the seventies.

I just rediscovered Greg’s work. I was a big fan of his a few years back when he worked on a comic called “Freaks of the Heartland”. His new stuff for the Goosebumps series and another upcoming graphics project from Scholastic are truly awesome. Make sure you click the link for “The Woodland Chronicles”.
