Today’s Comic

Sophie actually never been afraid of the vet. Even after her surgery, she just loves going. Guess I should be thankful for that. And the battle rages on in Florida. Some of the comments are getting pretty mean. I never expected to make everyone smile, but never thought I'd actually get some people so wound up. Such is the highly controversial life of a cartoonist. You can check out some angry Floridians here: http://www.itsyourtimes.com/?q=node/763

Yah, our guys love going to the vet too – bestist place in the world ! Bobbie’s actually not happy until he’s lifted on the table as well. Go figure …

Re the florida comments – meh – some people just have too much time on their hands

Wow. After reading some of the Florida comments, I can honestly say that it’s populated by a lot of people living in the past. Breathed USED to be great, Cathy USED to be funny, Boondocks USED to be published. I think it’s obviously time to breathe new life into their comics section (and no Arlo and Janice?? What were they thinking?)

I can honestly say that I found DeD amusing enough to read online, even though I only had paper access to it one day a week. (Saturdays…Detroit has an odd paper system) (that reminds me….should get yourself into the Detroit Freepress, since Detroit News is the smaller local paper :)

Thank you for writing one of the best new comics!

For the record, I’m fairly certain that it was my cat in the carrier yesterday :)

As a former Floridian, I can say that most of the state is mentally deficient. That’s proved by people who wanted reruns of Beetle Bailey and Cathy instead of reading anything new…or good. What’s next, marching to the newspaper headquarters to demand your fix of Ziggy and Snuffy Smith?

Oh, as for the one person who posted on that page, someone should tell her the comic is Get Fuzzy, not Get Fluffy. Morons, the lot of’em! Keep up the good work, Brian.

My mutt loves to go to the vet. All the different dogs are there. Plus there’s tons of friends she’s never met before. And I can’t leave out the friends she just hasn’t seen since her last visit.

She even loves the vet, himself. Even when she broke a bone in her paw and the vet pushed on it when he was checking her over, she still loved him. She just yelped and then turned around and kissed him.

As for the St. Pete Times, they’ll soon realize that DeD is great. The Orlando Sentinel sure could use DeD.

Wow. I guess people takes the comics section seriously.

BTW, I was on an airplane trip and I had to go on a connect flight to Chicago O’Hare. Over there, I picked up a copy of Chicago Tribune and there was “Dog Eat Doug”! It’s weird seeing a comic that I used to read online (I read your strip before it got syndicated) on paper.
